The new designed casing is much smaller and lightweight than the previous models. And the new desert sand color look is much fashionable than any other metal detector. But for all that, the new Rover does have much accurate results on-site and special components which are useful for treasure hunting such as the integrated LED lamps and display background lighting for detecting at night or the doubled recording rate for speed scanning, simplified menu navigation, wireless headphones and more.

Specially the new external battery pack is advantageous. It offers 48 hours non-stop metal detecting and can be placed in any pocket.
